Working for God

Ephesians 6:5-9

These verses are not condoning slavery (elsewhere Paul says that if a slave has the opportuntiy to get freedom, they should take it). What he is saying here is that as we work for people, we need to remember that we're actually working for God. Whether in business, finance, medical, teaching or in the home, we're doing it for Christ.
In the same way, rather than taking advantage of their position, bosses should remember that they will give an account for how they've lived.
Pray for good businesses to come into the area offering greater employment opportunities and investment locally. Pray for existing business to prosper and do well.

Join us on Sunday at 7am for the final prayer meeting in the current two weeks of prayer.
