Jesus on Sickness

In the Bible we see plenty of suffering and sickness, just as we see today, but none of it is from God – it’s not His original, best plan for us. When Jesus walked on Earth, He preached the good news of the kingdom of God and demonstrated it by healing people with all kinds of illnesses and ailments.

Jesus came to reveal God's nature to us. He healed many – the lame, the blind, the crippled – and reached out and touched lepers, those considered 'unclean', and healed them. Reading about Jesus in the gospels, we see that He is kind, compassionate, full of goodness and love – absolutely full of love to overflowing.

He loves us, He cares about our pain, and He still heals today – just as we heard and saw at our morning and evening meetings today!
