- About us
9th March 2014
As a believer, your identity is fundamentally wrapped up in Jesus Christ. Knowing who God is and knowing your identity – how He sees you (which is as you really are!) – are crucial for living life to the full in Christ.
We have been grafted into Christ and cannot be cut out of Him. He has transformed us from orphans into sons and daughters (John 14:18); He has taken us as deadwood and made us fruitful branches (John 15:5 and 16); and He has called us no longer servants, but now friends! (John 15:15)
In Jesus, we are made into sons of God – we are His children. We are no longer isolated, lonely, rejected, abandoned, lost... We have been hand-picked (adopted) by the Father, brought into His family to have the same rights, privileges and inheritance as all of His children. Do you know God as your Father? Just like a good human dad, His primary concern is that we know that He is our Daddy and that Daddy loves us!
Jesus has also made us alive – taken us from being 'deadwood' to those who a fruitful branches. We are meant to have lives that count! Because we are grafted into the vine (Jesus), who He is flows through us – we need to abide in Him and then simply ooze out all that He puts into us!
The amazing truth is that Jesus also calls us 'friend'. The One who created all things – He values you as His friend, who is loved unconditionally, accepted and liked.
We are no longer orphans, deadwood, servants; we are sons and daughters of God, fruitful branches whose lives count, and friends of Jesus. Isn't that awesome?!
