Family God Talk - 24.04.16

Spening time with God is one of the most important things you can do as a family. We know it can be hard, though, and that's why we produce Family God Talk, resources based around the teaching content of our Sunday children's groups to help families during the week.

This Week in Totz (0-4s)
Totz continued their journey through the Lord's Prayer this week by looking at 'forgive us our sins and deliver us from the evil one'. They learnt that God loves to forgive us when we do things wrong and that he wants us to forgive people who hurt us. They also learnt that God helps us and protects us, any time, any day. We can pray to ask for his help any time.

This Week in NRG (4-7s)
NRG were looking at the story of Moses this week. They saw how God protected Moses when he was a baby and talked about the fact that Jesus protects us.

This Week in N:Gage (7-11s)
N:Gage heard the story of the Passover this week. When Pharaoh was refusing to let God's people go, God warned him that every firstborn son in the land was going to die. But God loved his people and wanted to save their oldest sons, so he told them to kill a lamb and put some blood on their door posts. The blood would be a sign that the lamb had died in place of the son. The Passover lambs point forward to Jesus. Just like the lambs Jesus is a substitute, taking the punishment we deserve by dying on the cross so that we can be forgiven.
