The Hastings Centre is a premier conference facility in the 1066 area. It was originally built as an indoor sports centre, but has been extensively refurbished since King’s Church bought the building in 1992.

In 2013, we continued the Hastings Centre’s transformation: today, it is a high-quality business, leisure and conference venue, hired for business breakfasts, board meetings, exhibitions, seminars, awards ceremonies, quiz nights, blood donation, training, sports, live music events, and even live wrestling! We also have an on-site coffee shop, Coffee Box.

But the Hastings Centre isn’t just a business – we aim to run it as a social enterprise, meaning that we invest the profits back into the good of the local community, primarily through employing people who have been unemployed for some time and are looking for an opportunity to be trained and equipped with skills, but also through donations to local charities.
