Time and space to hunger

During our 40 days of hungering after God, we're setting aside time and space to pursue Him with fresh energy and determination. We want to grow in our intimacy with God, prayerfulness, expectation, and holiness. Here are some ways in which you can practically engage in this season...

'The hunger room'
We have a room upstairs at the Hastings Centre available every Sunday during the 40 days from 8-10am and 4.30-6.30pm, as well as on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30am to 6.30pm, so if you want to come to encounter God at any of those times, just turn up. The room is decked out with various materials to help you pray and meet with God.

Meeting together
We also have some set aside meetings as part of this season. The full list is here. If you feel like prayer is new to you and you're not really sure how to hunger after God and encounter Him, come along at 7.30pm on Wednesday 5 October when, like the disciples, we'll be asking Jesus to teach us how to pray.

Hungering as a family
As part of this hunger season we are holding a family prayground on Saturday 29 October. It’s designed to help families pray and encounter God together and is specifically for those with children aged 12 and under. It will be a great opportunity for families to grow in their relationship with God together and to pick up some ideas of things they could do at home. The prayground is free and families can come along anytime between 2pm and 4pm to use it.

Retreat day with Angela Kemm
We're really looking forward to having Angela Kemm with us for our retreat day on Saturday 5 November. It will run from 9.30am until 4pm at Manor Barn in Bexhill, with a mix of worship, teaching, prayer and engaging with God. Angela worked for many years in the townships in South Africa, where she saw God breakthrough in amazing ways in all kinds of situations. She is now based in Cambridge and ministers to many churches across Europe. She’s passionate about seeing the church be all that God has called us to be. Tickets for the retreat day are £15, which includes lunch, but if money is an obstacle please let us know so we can cover the cost for you. There are very few tickets left, so please sign up here quickly if you'd like to come!
